Sonnax TV cable corrector kits are prevent the TV cable from being pulled out of adjustment at full throttle--by allowing the spring to compress and absorb any excessive cable pull. On most GM and Ford transmissions with cables, the throttle valve cable pulls out of adjustment at wide-open throttle. This is typically caused by inaccurate geometry of the throttle shaft lever. There should be a specific degree of movement of the attachment element pivot point between closed and wide-open throttle; and a specific distance between the pivot points of the attachment element and the throttle shaft lever.

That's where these Sonnax shift cable mount brackets come into play, by allowing installation of the 1994 and 1995 transmissions or cases into 1996–97 vehicles that originally had case mounted shifter brackets. Sonnax servo apply levers are made from billet 6061 T-6 aluminum forgings which are less susceptible to distortion and cracking than cast OEM levers. They are excellent as replacements for hard-to-find, OEM servo levers which are no longer in production.
