Trick Flow® Pro calibrated adjustable pushrod length checkers are the most accurate way to measure pushrod length. Here is how they work: Each checker's designated length range number represents the overall length it can measure from closed through one full inch when fully extended. A laser-etched alignment line identifies each full rotation, while grooves every .050 in. on the inner sleeve keep count of the number of rotations made. For example, when a 7.800-8.800 length checker is turned apart by one rotation, the correct length for the new pushrods required would be 7.850 in. (7.800 + .050 = 7.850). The Trick Flow® checkers are made from high-quality steel alloy with a durable black oxide coating for a lifetime of pushrod length checks. They're available in versions with ball tips or cup tips, and in ranges from 5.800 in. to 12.800 in.

The timing cover and rear cover on GM LS Series engines don't have dowel pins to ensure correct alignment to the center line of the crankshaft. This often leads to annoying leaks at the front damper seal and rear main seal. Summit™ has the solution to leak-free LS engine builds. Summit Racing™ Pro LS cover alignment tools locate or center the seal openings on the front or rear cover when it's installed, ensuring the seal is centered on the crankshaft, preventing leaks and allowing easier installation of the seals.

Special parts often require special tools. Jesel's pushrod length checking tools are one of those "getting it right" tools for pushrod length checking. The basic body of the tool consists of three pieces of aluminum tubing. The tubing pieces are 5 in., 3 in. and 1.5 in. long. On two pieces of the tubing, one end is male and the other is female and each end is threaded. Outer ends accept a screw-in pushrod ball end. In total, the pushrod length checking tools are adjustable from 6 in. to 12 in. Important note: Before you order new pushrods, first check the pushrod length on several different cylinders, as well as on both engine's cylinder heads to determine sizes. Never rotate valvetrain using the pushrod checker tool.
