APR boost tap adapter kits are modular systems that plug directly into the intake manifold and make several configuration options available. APR modular boost tap and PCV bypass systems feature a tap used for referencing boost or vacuum from the manifold, a cap (if this feature is unneeded), a T-junction to allow for multiple boost and vacuum references, and a "no buzz" restrictor pill for proper manual boost gauge operation. The manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP sensor) is one of the sensors used in a vehicle's electronic control system (ECU). The MAP sensors provide instantaneous manifold pressure information to the engine's computer (ECU).
