DEI ONYX Series Pipe Shields
DEI ONYX Series pipe shields provide two layers of exhaust thermal performance that outperforms conventional shields and looks great. The dual layers consist of an outer layer made from heat-treated glass fiber that is bonded with molten aluminum and then formed into a tight weave for durability and strength. The inner layer is made of a specially treated, high-temperature resistant fabric (89 percent silica) designed to withstand some serious exhaust heat. The outer edges are finished off with a surge stitch for durability and all hardware is stainless steel. The result of this proprietary textile technology and DEI bracket design is very good thermal performance up to 1,350 degrees F, with an eye-catching rich black finish.

For quick and easy heat shielding, use DEI Versa Shields. They are designed to protect your starter, cool can, carburetor, or electrical box from radiant heat problems. The Versa Shield is constructed using an aluminum heat reflective material backed with a hi-temp rated glass fiber insulation barrier and is capable of reflecting radiant heat up to an impressive 2,000 degrees F. Simply wrap the desired component with Versa Shield and trim excess material. Edges attach to itself using a hook-and-loop edge closure design, and can easily be removed for car shows.

DEI Heat Shroud sleeving solves the problem of heat and abrasions causing failure of lines, hoses, and wires without the need to disconnect them. Offered in two different materials, both provide high-temperature protection and the added convenience of a hook-and-loop closure design that eliminates the need of removing one end of connected wires, cables, or hoses to install. Heat Shroud with glass fiber fabric and aluminized outer facing has the versatility of fitting diameters from 0.5 in. to 2.5 in. diameter, is easy to trim to length, and reflects 90 percent of radiant heat. Made from 10 mil dimpled aluminum with a 1/8 in. needle glass insulator, the shield material can be easily trimmed to fit. Each kit includes DEI's tough stainless steel positive locking ties for a tight, secure installation.
