The ring land and crown thickness have been specifically engineered for mild turbo, supercharged, and nitrous applications. Their forced pin oiler provides increased wrist pin lubrication. A pin fitting, double Spiro locks, and a wall wrist pin are included. The CNC-machined ring grooves accept 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 rings, which are sold separately.

Mahle PowerPak pistons are forged pistons with steel pins and wire locks. The pistons are hand-deburred and then coated with dry phosphate to protect against ring micro-welding and pin galling during initial startup. For additional performance, Mahle added its proprietary Grafal anti-friction coating to the piston skirts. Part numbers with T on the end have a cutting edge ceramic-based thermic barrier. The barrier is resistant to thermal shock, insulates the piston crown, and reduces heat transfer to increase performance. These replacement pistons are available in a wide variety of size options for fitment with specific engines and pistons.
