Each engine block undergoes a rigorous testing and machining process, including: Oven cleaning; testing for cracks through magnetic particle inspection; and main line honing. They're bored and honed with a torque plate, given a hot tank wash; cam bearing journals are line bored and cam bearings are installed; and the units receive a fresh coat of paint before final packaging and shipping.
