PRW main girdle stud kits help eliminate main cap walk and also protect the threads in your engine block. The main girdle studs work with the main girdles to help strengthen the foundation for your next high horsepower build. PRW uses premium grade Custom 4135 steel. The studs are then specially heat-treated to 180,000 psi. This heat-treating procedure allows for total heat penetration which results in a stronger, more superior stud compared to lesser quality studs from other manufacturers. To ensure perfect alignment with the main cap and main girdle, PRW studs are then centerless ground after being heat-treated. Ford Performance Parts 351 Aluminum Windsor engine blocks feature cast iron sleeves and are available in 9.2 in. or 9.5 in. deck heights. The 9.2 in. version of Ford's Z351 aluminum Windsor blocks is great for smaller displacement builds without the penalty of a taller deck. Both versions are cast from high strength 356-T6 grade aluminum and use splayed, 4-bolt, steel main caps on number 2-3-4 main bearings. The blocks are user friendly and designed to use conventional Windsor components like cams, timing chains, timing chain covers, oil pans, and oil pumps.
