Gator head studs have a much higher strength and will not stretch like the factory bolts, helping to keep your truck from popping head gaskets. Designed for stock to moderately built engines. Dart Race Series 12.5 degree cylinder heads for small block Chevys are cast from premium 355-T61 aerospace alloy for exceptional durability and integrity. They feature a shallow combustion chamber design, allowing larger valves for better air flow; interlocking ductile iron valve seats compatible with stainless steel or titanium valves; valve centerlines with standard 1.935 in. spacing; and refined intake port design for reduced turbulence and enhanced air/fuel flow. Additional characteristics include: water passages between exhaust ports; drillable integral bosses for fuel injection down nozzles; and 3/4 in. reach spark plugs with gaskets shifted toward bore centerline to enhance flame travel. These units are compatible with most components designed for 18 degree heads.
