Specifically designed for power adder and diesel applications, these rods utilize the same proven 4340 material and ARP 2000 or L19 fasteners. Strength was added by thickening up the flanges of the H-beam and a reduced depth-of-cut towards the center of each rod, then non-essential weight is taken out of the beam to help keep the overall weight of these Xtreme rods in check. Better by design, Callies Compstar connecting rods offer high performance and a trouble-free engine build. Concerns about out-of-round, big-end bore sizing, repeatability, time-saving details, and upgrade costs are a thing of the past. Their forged 4340 steel rods are put through a lengthy stress-relief process and burnishing of threads and bolt spot faces to ensure dimensional repeatability, no matter how many times rods are torn down and reassembled. Pin bushings are chamfered and honed, parting line edges are generously chamfered, and bearing locating tab slots are deburred, all in an effort to save you time and trouble. ARP 2000 bolts and stroker clearances are standard with Compstar rods. Choose either their original H-beam design or heavy-duty I-beam designed rods. Eagle now offers their CRS lightweight H-beam connecting rods in their Featherweight series. The lighter design provides less rotating mass for flawless high-rpm performance. Their 2-piece, forged, vacuum-degassed, 4340-certified steel construction provides superb strength at a fraction of the weight of most other rods. Each rod is multi-stage heat-treated, X-rayed, sonic-tested, magnafluxed, 100 percent machined, and shot-peened to stress-relieve the metal. The rods have a stout cap screw attachment with precision cap alignment sleeves to positively locate each rod cap. They come with 220,000 psi rated ARP 2000 cap screw rod bolts, instructions, and rod bolt lubrication.

Manley steel H-beam connecting rods are made from forged 4340 steel alloy. They're packed full of performance features, such as a compact uniform-grain structure for ultimate strength, full machining, stress relieving, and magnafluxing. The wrist pin and big end bores are honed to a +/-.0002 in. tolerance, and the wrist pins get a bronze alloy bushing. These units include cap screw ARP 8740 alloy rod bolts, and each rod set is weight-matched to within 2 grams.
