In an ongoing quest to provide you with the performance and sound that you demand, COMP Cams' engineering team proudly introduces the Thumpr Series hydraulic roller cam and lifter kits. They are designed for use in engines that were originally equipped with flat tappet camshafts. The lobe profile and grind characteristics of these Thumpr camshafts use a combination of an early exhaust valve opening, a long exhaust duration, and a generous amount of intake and exhaust overlap. They're designed to maximize the rough-idling characteristics of the cams, giving you a seriously aggressive exhaust note without negatively impacting the power output or streetability of the engine. They are available in three different grind profiles. Each one will produce a rough, racy exhaust note and impressive amounts of horsepower and torque within a different rpm range. Thumpr Series cam and lifter kits feature a cutting-edge hydraulic roller design that delivers a substantial power increase over an identical hydraulic flat tappet grind without sacrificing reliability or ease of maintenance.

By tying all eight rocker arms together on a single shaft that fits in the stock rocker stand, COMP Cams has found a way to improve valve train dynamics, increase valve train stiffness and reduce deflection under extreme loads. Features include high-tech 64cc combustion chambers, 220cc intake runners capable of excellent flow and velocity, high-flow ports, and standard 2.055 in. diameter intake valves. Based on the proven Super 23® head design, the heads feature large, 215cc intake runners for more airflow in the mid and upper RPM range. Fast As Cast® ports deliver near-CNC-ported flow and performance for about the same price as regular cast heads—that means more power for less. Other features include angled spark plugs, raised valve cover rails, and extra-thick decks and walls for custom porting jobs. You can get Super 23® 215 heads with two valve spring packages for different camshaft types and power levels. The standard 453 lb. valve springs are perfect for most hydraulic roller cams. For more aggressive solid roller cam profiles, choose the optional 550 lb. valve springs for proper control at high RPMs. Cylinder heads are available fully assembled or as bare castings. Features include high-flow 200cc RightCast intake runners, Fast-Burn combustion chambers, and your choice of angled or straight spark plug locations. The ports are extra-thick with plenty of room for porting, and the heads are indexed off the chambers to ensure perfect alignment with the cylinders. Other features include universal end pads that'll accept all early and late model accessories, leak-free machined valve cover rails, and the ability to accept both perimeter and center bolt style valve covers.
