They start with top rings made from proprietary shell-mold cast iron with plasma moly impact-resistant alloy, providing a hard, yet lubricating, low-friction structure. The plasma moly coating improves wear resistance, reduces scuffing, traps lubricating oil, and is compatible with a wide range of cylinder bore materials. The 2nd rings are manganese phosphate coated. Claimer moly top rings are torsional positive twist and the 2nd rings are torsional reverse-twist taper face.
