S&S Cycle Milwaukee 8 gear drive cam chest kits include everything necessary to convert to gear drive for improved cam timing accuracy and eliminate the stock cam chain tensioner. All parts in each kit are matched to ensure superior quality, fit, finish and performance. Each kit includes necessary gaskets, components, and hardware required for a complete installation. S&S gear drive kits are available for water-cooled and oil-cooled motorcycle models. Select the kit designed for your bike. Features of Milwaukee 8 gear drive cam chest kits: * Oil pump and cam plate are precision-machined from billet aluminum with a blue anodized finish * Passage plugs are removable for servicing * Independent scavenge sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest * Debris screens in both scavenge pickups * Magnet in cam helps stop debris from entering oil pump * Increased oil flow capacity on both the feed and scavenge sides * Adjustable pressure relief valve is adjustable with the unit installed in the engine * S&S Quickee Pushrods with chrome or gloss black pushrod tubes * S&S premium tappets—hand assembled to exacting tolerances; reduced valve train noise from start up to shut down * Billet aluminum tappet cuffs have a hard-anodized black coating and are stronger than stock to eliminate distortion and improve tappet stability in high-lift situations * Outer drive gears included * 465 Torque cam kits are the ideal choice for Touring bike applications * 475 kits are bolt-in cams that can produce up to 100 horsepower * 540 kits are designed to add even more stump pulling torque to your big bore M8, for those that keep the revs below 6,000 rpm—requires the addition of valve springs (included in high lift kits) and works with cams up to .605 lift * 550 kits are for use with large displacement engines—requires the addition of valve springs (included in high lift kits) and works with cams up to .605 lift
