When installing an LS7 with a dry sump system into your project, you'll need to modify a few items on the engine before installation of the wet sump system. The Holley dipstick drill guide is a great aid in aligning the new oil dipstick location. LS dry sump engines have the dipstick in the remote oil tank. The boss in the block that is typically used for the dipstick is not drilled. When converting to wet sump, the boss must be drilled. This boss is parallel to nothing else—and you only get one shot at the hole. Holley has developed an easy guide to help locate the bit during the drilling process. Using two nearby threaded block holes, the guide creates easy alignment for a hand drill to exactly drill the hole GM would have for a wet sump application. An innovative drill chip slot allows chips to be vacuumed during the drilling process. Holley offers LS swap 4WD truck off-road oil pan baffles for a variety of trucks, including many Chevy and GMC models from the 1970s and '80s. They take Holley's popular cast aluminum oil pans (P/N 302-4 and 302-4BK) designed to swap LS engines into K10s and other trucks to a whole new level. Vehicles that endure prolonged sessions of climbing, crawling, braking, turning, and accelerating need extra protection from oil starvation. That's where these baffle kits come in. They improve upon the baffle included with those pans, maintain proper oil level at the oil pump pick-up during vehicle elevation and grade changes, accelerations, both lateral and linear, and braking. This prevents loss of engine oil pressure during off-road excursions as well as during hard acceleration. Each baffle is fabricated from sheet aluminum joined by TIG-welded joints. Directionally positioned one-way trap doors allow oil flow toward the oil pump pick-up but not away. These direct bolt-in baffles are designed to be used in the Holley P/N 302-4 and 302-4BK LS Swap oil pan with the standard pickup, and are a drop-in replacement for the standard tray baffle. They're great for street, race, and off-road applications.

Steeda oil separators reduce detonation, oil burning, and deposits on intake valves by removing oil drawn through the PCV system before it can contaminate the intake charge. Excess crankcase pressure (blow-by) is vented from the crankcase through the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned to the engine to be burned. High-rpm, turbo and supercharged, nitrous-boosted, and high-mileage engines often draw excessive amounts of oil into the engine through the PCV system. Steeda oil separators are offered in a variety of configurations and a choice of materials. Each one plugs into the PCV hose between the PCV valve and the intake manifold and removes aerated oil from the re-circulated air and collects it so that it can be drained and recycled. They are fully sealed to ensure against vacuum leaks, and are simple to service.
