D.S.S. Competition Engine offers FX-Series forged 2618 aluminum alloy piston and ring kits with XR wrist pins for a wide range of Chevy engine applications from the 1960s and up. The pistons are available in flat top, dish, and dome styles—in countless size and performance options. For your convenience, these sets include piston rings and XR wrist pins for a turnkey installation. FX-Series forged 2618 alloy pistons will increase your horsepower potential without breaking the budget. Forged and machined with premium aircraft quality 2618 alloy, the pistons are a great choice for naturally aspirated, nitrous or boosted engines with the added strength from the internal gussets. Additional CNC milling removes material in non-critical areas to achieve a lighter weight for the perfect balance of strength, power, and longevity. FX-Series pistons feature the patented X-Groove skirt design which reduces damage caused by fuel wash down and break-in debris for superior skirt, cylinder, and ring life. JE Pistons 400/440 Wedge dome top pistons are an all-new design that accommodate intake valve diameters up to 2.250 in. and accept long-duration, tight lobe separation cams. They're available with either .990 in. or 1.094 in. diameter wrist pins. These pistons are machined for 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 rings.
