The 2024 aluminum bodied rocker arms are designed to withstand open spring pressures of up to 900 lbs., while maintaining precise valve lash settings. COMP Cams shaft mount aluminum rocker arms are one of the most cost-effective ways to increase horsepower. These shaft rockers were designed using the latest in computer software and engineering. They center the roller tip over the valve tip at the correct time so that the roller tip is never more than 0.020 in. off-center of the valve tip. At the greatest load point, the roller tip contact is on the center of the valve. At valve closing, the roller tip contact is slightly behind the valve centerline. When the valve is at full open, the tip contact is slightly behind the centerline of the valve. The results are more horsepower and better performance.

These jewel-like valves are machined in state-of-the-art CNC turning centers and valve stem grinders to exacting tolerances. Manley utilizes the finest titanium alloys for both the intakes and exhausts, providing the best balance of mechanical properties, hardness, ductility, and fatigue strength at the given temperatures. All Manley titanium valves must pass their rigorous final inspection process, and strict quality control enables them to deliver parts within tight tolerance. Custom valves can be delivered within a very reasonable turnaround time. Seat coatings are also available on certain shelf stock part numbers, as well as on custom valves.

They are designed for use in engines that were originally equipped with flat tappet camshafts. The lobe profile and grind characteristics of these Thumpr camshafts use a combination of an early exhaust valve opening, a long exhaust duration, and a generous amount of intake and exhaust overlap. They're designed to maximize the rough-idling characteristics of the cams, giving you a seriously aggressive exhaust note without negatively impacting the power output or streetability of the engine. They are available in three different grind profiles. Each one will produce a rough, racy exhaust note and impressive amounts of horsepower and torque within a different rpm range.
