Cam Motion Junkyard Dog Series Performance LS camshafts are aggressive and powerful cams engineered for carburetor or single-plane intake manifolds. The camshafts are designed to get maximum performance out of your stock short block, while still maintaining acceptable valve clearance without fly-cutting the pistons. They feature Cam Motion's smooth cam lobe design that provides quiet valvetrain operation and excellent upper rpm stability. Junkyard Dog cams are available for cathedral and rectangular port cylinder heads, as well as for nitrous applications. Cam Motion offers the camshafts in 5150 induction-hardened chromium, 8660 induction-hardened nickel-chromium-molybdenum, and their top-of-the-line 8620 carburized nickel-chromium-molybdenum camshaft cores. Cam Motion Junkyard Dog cams are bred for vehicles equipped with headers, high-flow exhaust, increased stall speed torque converters, and increased rear axle ratios. Cam Motion LS Positive Displacement Supercharger camshafts are designed for a variety of applications, from basic street performance to aggressive and maximum street performance. They're intended for vehicles using an LS engine (various sizes) equipped with a positive-displacement style supercharger. Depending on the model you select, drivers can expect a mild performance idle and improved power throughout the rpm range—with emphasis on mid-range and upper rpm range for the more aggressive applications. Additional performance gains can be achieved when used with headers, free-flowing exhaust, and an increased stall speed torque converter. The Supercharger Series cams are designed with Cam Motion's renowned smooth cam lobe to provide quiet valvetrain operation and excellent upper rpm stability.
