With axle upgrades or rear disc brake conversions, the OE parking brake may be deleted or inoperable. Low Range Off-Road transfer case mounted E-brake/parking brake kits solve these problems by adding a mechanical disc brake on the output shaft of the transfer case. Most kits use the stock parking brake cable. They provide dramatically increased braking over the stock emergency/parking brake--with fewer parts to maintain and no low-hanging cables to be snagged by rocks. Low Range Off-Road transfer case mounted E-brake/parking brake kits take advantage of the gear ratio in the differential to multiply the force applied to hold the truck in place. They will typically hold on a 45 degree hill with the transmission in neutral. Features of Low Range Off-Road transfer case mounted E-brake/parking brake kits include: * Bolts onto the back of the transfer case with no drive shaft modifications * Can be used with drum or disc rear brakes. * Heavy-duty TIG-welded brackets * Bi-color zinc plating and durable black powdercoated finishes for corrosion resistance * All parts needed for installation included, with instructions Notes: * Drilling may be required to secure OE brake cable. * May not work with some non-LROR aftermarket transfer case crossmembers or skid plates. * Swapping to a flange with larger bolt holes may be necessary. * Installation may require removing and reinstalling the transfer case output flange. * Certain vehicles may require re-drilling the rotor. * Fuel lines closest to the rotor may need to be relocated. * If skid plate lifts the transfer case too much, trimming and boxing of floorboard may be required. * On some vehicles with an electronic speedometer pickup, an adapter is required (sold separately).

With all of the popular 4x4 axle upgrades and rear disc brake conversions available, sometimes the parking brake mechanism is deleted or rendered inoperable. The All-Pro transfer case mounted disc parking brake caliper kits solve this and other issues by placing the parking brake on the output shaft of the transfer case. The kits hook up directly to the stock parking brake cable and provide dramatically increased braking over the stock parking brake. Taking advantage of the gear ratio in the differential to multiply the force applied to hold the truck in place, these kits will hold your truck on a 45-degree hill with the tranny in neutral! As an added bonus, the kits have fewer parts to maintain and no low-hanging cables to snag on rocks! Simply bolt one of the kits onto the back of the transfer case with no driveshaft modifications needed. They fit 1984-95 gear drive 4-cylinder transfer case equipped pickups and Toyota 4Runners (V6 and automatic applications are not available)—and can be used with drum or disc rear brakes. (The caliper and rotor are available separately for those interested in building their own setup.) Important notes: * Re-drilling of the rotor is required for use on 1979-83 trucks with original driveshafts due to smaller 8mm bolt hole size * All parts ship unpainted * If your vehicle is equipped with Electronic Speedometer pickup, an adapter will need to be purchased * Bolt-on application * All-Pro tested design * Fits: 1979-95 Toyota pickups and 4Runners
