Clearance
Motorcraft brake calipers deliver just-off-the-showroom performance. Caliper housings, seals, boots, pistons, bleed screws and caps, and slide-pin boots are all the same as on the vehicle at the factory. Components are tested for abrasion resistance, high and low-pressure leaks, and durability. They provide the best balance between braking performance and reduction of noise and vibration—and are built with the understanding that can only come from being the original equipment manufacturer. Strange Engineering's stainless steel brake kits are designed for drag racing's most abusive applications, offering drag racers a safer and more efficient alternative to conventional carbon steel brakes. Strange's Dynamic Drive Mount (DDM) system secures the stainless rotor with an internal Spirolox--eliminating all thermally generated stress from rotor attachment points and further reducing rotating weight. The system also permits the hat and rotor to expand and contract independently, allowing for thermal expansion, which drastically reduces warping, coning, and cracking. Strange Evolution Dynamic Drive Mount brake kits feature Evolution S DDM stainless steel rotors machined from premium stainless billets, proprietary heat treated, and fully ground. The kits also contain Evolution 4 calipers, high performance metallic or semi-metallic brake pads, additional components, and hardware. Together they produce more efficient accelerating and stopping of your drag racing vehicle. Kits are available for front or rear. Choose those designed for your vehicle. Baer Brakes Baer Claw Extreme+ disc brake systems are Baer's flagship offerings, featuring their forged Monoblock calipers mounted to 2-piece rotors. The Extreme+ systems employ current state-of-the-art race technology usually only found in very expensive race calipers. Baer now brings that technology to the road-going market. The 6S line of calipers represent Baer's most aggressive road offering and are suitable for virtually any level of track use. Optional R-Spec 6R calipers are a race version of 6S calipers; available for any Extreme+ system. The R-Spec calipers feature additional machining to the 6S calipers to save close to 2 lbs. per caliper and allow for top-loaded pads. Over 400 models are available for specific vehicle, bolt pattern, and axle applications.
