The Stop Shop offers ram air hood pan rear mounting brackets like those that were used on 1967-1970 Firebirds, LeMans and GTO models. An essential component in the hood's operation, the brackets provide a proper attachment point to secure your ram air pan to the underside of your hood. These brackets help channel outside air directly into the air intake, thus effectively creating a ram air system. By forcing cooler outside air into the engine, they help reduce intake temps compared to warm air within the engine compartment. The denser, cooler air with a higher oxygen content can lead to more complete combustion, resulting in increased engine power.
