aFe BladeRunner GT Series intercoolers feature a bar and plate core design that outflows stock intercoolers by increasing heat dissipation over the much smaller tube and fin design used by the OEM. The unique BladeRunner end tanks are constructed out of 3/16 in. aluminum plates that incorporate seven Multi-Directional Vanes (MDV) throughout the intercooler. This aFe technology is used to direct hot air flow through the entire intercooler core, which allows for greater cooling. aFe BladeRunner GT Series intercoolers are100 percent TIG-welded by certified craftsmen for race-quality strength and durability. They are pressure tested at 200 psi.

They are manufactured from polyurethane, so they seal nicely around the tube for a proper hold, and are flexible enough to handle minor engine vibration. They are manufactured from stainless steel with all connections TIG-welded, not braised, and pressure-tested at the factory. They feature a direct-flow design providing seven large diameter flow-through tubes to resist clogging, resulting in the extended life of the cooler. The heat exchanger tube wall thickness is more than twice as thick as the OEM versions.
