Wilwood dynamic bobbin mount hats eliminate the problems associated with thermal distortion. They incorporate a rotor mounting system that allows the rotors to move independently of the hats as they expand and contract through heat cycles. All thermally generated stress is removed from the rotor attachment points so the rotors stay flatter and run truer. Also, the brake response and pedal feel remain consistent, and pad knock back, and rotor drag are eliminated. With Wilwood dynamic bobbin mounts, parking brake hats are no longer distorted by stresses generated by thermal expansion and shrinkage of the rotors.

An enhancement of the original Dynalite series calipers, Wilwood Forged Dynalite-M calipers are the strongest calipers in their class and are the basis of Wilwood's classic-style brake kits. They are built from stress-flow forgings that re-align the metal's grain structure within the caliper, eliminating breaks and interruptions to the internal grain structure that occur when machining a billet. Finite element analysis (FEA) design was used to eliminate steps and shoulders between the piston housing body and the caliper bridges--substantially increasing resistance to deflection and caliper separation. The result is a taller pedal and better stopping power. Specifically designed to enhance outboard clearance, they also feature Wilwood's SRS stainless steel bridge plates that eliminate the bridge wear caused by pad gouging and extend the service life of the caliper. Their spring-loading action eliminates pad rattle and dampens the vibration harmonics that contribute to brake squeal. Other standard features include high-temperature seals and stainless steel pistons that eliminate corrosion and retard heat transfer from the pads. Internal fluid passages eliminate the need for external tubes. Four corner bleed screws simplify bleeding and allow Dynalite-M calipers to be mounted in any position. Offered for several rotor widths and your choice of anodized and powdercoated finishes, Dynalite-M calipers provide light weight, high-tech style and outstanding stopping power.

Wilwood lug drive dynamic hats have a design that allows you to incorporate a new rotor mounting system that eliminates the rotor bolts and allows the rotors to move independently of the hats. They help rotors stay flat and run true, while keeping braking response and pedal feel consistent. Pad knock-back and rotor drag are both eliminated as well. These hats cause all problems associated with thermal distortion to be eliminated, including bolt hole alignment issues when trying to reinstall new rotors on previously used hats.

Wilwood GT rotor and lug drive hat assemblies are pre-assembled packages of Wilwood's latest and greatest technology and design. The lug-drive rotor mounting system eliminates the rotor bolts and instead, a large single internal snap-ring retains the rotor in the hat. This system allows the rotors to move independently of the hats as they expand and contract through heat cycles. All thermally generated stress is removed from the rotor attachment points. The rotors stay flatter and run truer. They are paired with GT 72 Curved Vane Spec-37 rotors that are manufactured from a proprietary iron alloy developed to withstand extreme temperatures—with the highest possible degree of resistance against distortion, warping, cracking, and wear.
