The bump stops also help prevent damage from occurring to expensive shocks and suspension components by absorbing impacts at full suspension compression. Trail-Gear smooth body, pin top bump stops are available in 2 in., 3 in., and 4 in. travel options, and can be purchased individually or in sets that will also include four 1/4 in. thick ASTM A36 steel weld-on universal mounting brackets. Stop over-flexing your shocks and leaf springs. There are two bump stops and two extensions in each kit. The bump stops are welded to the top of the U-bolt flip plates and the extensions are welded directly to the frame.
