Building on the platform of the company's top placing housings, the latest Spider 9 housing is stronger (ARP studs, accepts 9 in. and 10 in. gears), more versatile (68 in. OAL, works with standard and mid-engine setups), and just downright sexier (TIG-welded on outside, machined face). If you're looking for many of the 9 in. housing benefits, at a fraction of the price, Spider 9 housings are the perfect solution. Every Spider 9 housing comes with third member ARP studs and Nylocks. Fill bungs and caps are sold separately. Additional details: * Strong: Every Spider 9 housing is constructed with a one-piece 1/4 in. thick shell, a 3/8 in. thick face plate, and 3 1/2 in. x 1/4 in. wall axle tubes. Spidertrax also redesigned the faceplate to allow the use of both 9 in. and 10 in. gears. * Secure: Best to keep those 9 in. and 10 in. gears where they belong, inside your Spider 9 housing. That's why Spidertrax redesigned the shell to work with ARP studs. Spidertrax Off-Road Ultimate Steering Knuckles
Spidertrax Off-Road Ultimate steering knuckles set the standard for rock crawling and rock racing performance. They now include 7/8 in. spherical bearings and 4340 Spider shoulder bolts across the line. In addition, they feature internal gussets on both upper outer knuckle and lower inner knuckle, adding crucial strength from extreme steering forces and those high impacts from jumps. Ultimate knuckles are designed for Ultimate unit bearings, Ultimate U-joints, and 4140 bolt-on high steer arms (sold separately). They install on any Spider 9 housing with 3 1/2 in. O.D. tubes. * CNC-machined: Tight tolerances are necessary for proper fitment. Post welding, all inner knuckles are CNC-machined. This provides not only a perfect 7/8 in. spherical bearing fit but a precise tolerance between upper and lower spherical bearings. No guesswork, no compromise. * 7/8 in. bolts and bearings: The spherical bearing assembly consists of a 4340 Spider shoulder bolt, shim washer, spherical bearing, shoulder washer, and Type C nut. Combined, each knuckle can withstand over 21,500 lbs. of axial loading and over 130,000 lbs. of radial loading. No grease, no weak links, no hassle. * 50 degrees of steering: An OEM-style 60 knuckle can turn only 38 degrees. Ultimate knuckles can turn all the way to 50 degrees, tighter than any steering knuckle on the market. Plus, the use of a 6-bolt interlocking chromoly steering arm makes them one of the strongest, as well (steering arms sold separately). * Internal gussets: Ultimate knuckles take performance to an all-new level with the addition of internal gussets. Upper outer knuckle gussets add critical strength for steering, while lower inner knuckle gussets add extra strength for those high sailing jumps. They're simply Spidertrax's strongest Ultimate knuckle yet.

Spidertrax Off-Road's Spider 9 chromoly axle housings deliver a level of quality and performance that surpasses the industry's highest standards. Building on the platform of their previous award-winning Spider 9 housing, these chromoly housings are stronger, with heat-treated tubes and internal shell gussets. They accept 9 in. and 10 in. gears, are more versatile with 68 in. OAL, and work with standard and mid-engine setups. Each unit is TIG-welded on the outside and has a machined face. The housings are available for 3.5 in. or 4 in. axle tube diameter.
