Looking for the ultimate set of performance spindles? Speedtech Performance AFX Performance spindles are here to get the job done! GM musclecars are known for having poor geometry from the factory. They rode relatively smooth and did well in straight line drag race situations, but high-speed cornering was less of a consideration in their designs. With today's technology, correcting these issues with control arms helps, but is only part of the equation. Speedtech and ATS have taken an entirely new approach to improving the less-than-optimal factory suspensions of the A, F, X, G and B body platforms by scratch-designing the focal point of the steering and suspension geometry: the front spindles. They will drop your ride height 1 in. for a more aggressive stance and lower center of gravity. Relocated steering arm mounting points are custom-designed for each individual vehicle to improve Ackerman and bring bump-steer numbers down to nearly zero. The spindles feature a Corvette ZR1 sealed, maintenance-free hub; it's heavy-duty, and the large bearing pack offers a stronger load capacity--able to handle the abuse of street and track driving. Speedtech Performance AFX Performance spindles and the ZR1 hub combination do not alter the factory track width or bolt pattern, allowing standard wheel fitment. Brake mounting is based on the C5/C6 Corvette and accepts factory Corvette brakes or packages from multiple manufacturers, including Baer, Wilwood, and others.

The ability to properly set up the chassis and tune to individual track conditions is one of the basic fundamentals for achieving low lap times. Adjustable spring rate, ride height, and shock dampening is a vital part of that tuning process. True coilover shocks allow for all these to be done in one easily adjustable package, while avoiding issues where other coil and shock combinations fall short. Speedtech Performance USA created the complete Chicane coilover kit for a variety of Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac cars from the 1960s and '70s—so that coilover shocks can be installed and put to use in your factory frame! Designed to be welded in place of the factory upper shock mount, these kits convert the factory shock mount to a double sheer coilover mount for use with coilovers with a T-bar lower mount. Unlike other kits on the market, being able to make tuning adjustments without removing any components from the vehicle was a primary design goal for the Chicane coilover kit. It allows easy on-car adjustment of ride height, rebound, and compression. Since the factory upper control arm mounting bracket remains unaltered, engine removal is not a requirement for installation. Welding of the Chicane coilover kit is basic and straightforward—and can be completed by a certified welder within an hour. The complete kit includes QA1 double adjustable coilover shocks. Speedtech Performance USA rear suspension systems utilize Articulate technology on the upper and lower trailing arms to rotate laterally while the suspension travels through its normal range of motion. This greatly reduces bind and maintains better geometric curves. Delrin bushings throughout eliminate the flex of rubber and squeak of urethane. Speedtech's chassis-mount adjustable sway bar allows the bar to work at its full potential. With the available added feature of a bolt-in true coilover shock conversion, you'll be able to tune your suspension to reach its max performance! The base rear suspension systems include Articulate adjustable no-bind upper and lower trailing arms, Delrin bushings, adjustable 1 in. tubular rear sway bar, Grade 8 hardware, and instructions. They feature QA1 double adjustable coilover shocks, allowing for 19 setting positions for both compression and rebound settings—that's a total of 361 different valving combinations! Precision-machined PTFE/bronze-wrapped pistons on 5/8 in. hard chrome plated rods are encased in clear anodized, lightweight aluminum housings. Left-hand threads avoid shock separation when adjusting your ride height. Speedtech systems are available for a variety of vehicle applications from the 1960s and '70s.
