Performance Design Carbon pTR intake manifolds combine high-quality materials into a flexible and powerful tunnel ram architecture. PA6GF30 glass-reinforced nylon (lower) and 5-layer carbon fiber (upper) shells combine for lightweight, strong, and heat-resistant performance. Offering unique modular velocity stacks enabling 6 1/2 in. to 9 in. runners, multiple accessory port and sensor options along with other custom features, these high-performance manifolds offer easy configuring for a variety of hot rod builds, and can even be reversed on the engine. The plenums feature high-strength carbon fiber with high-temperature epoxy for improved strength-to-weight ratio and reduced heat soak to the fresh air charge. The polymer lower runner pack resists heat soak from the cylinder heads and hides all the ports/sensors in the valley. This combination of materials offers a 10 lbs. weight savings over competitive aluminum tunnel ram manifolds. These custom assemblies are designed for resto-mod, off-road race trucks, race boats, and hot rods where hood clearance is not an issue (they will not fit under late model vehicle hoods). Performance Design race style carbon fiber LS valve covers offer ultra-lightweight solid carbon fiber body construction, titanium fasteners, and a polymer injection molded seal flange. Thoughtful design provides features to retain the fasteners when the cover is turned over. The fully isolated design is also similar to production, so all OEM-style gasket/sealing and positive locators will match for easy installation. Available models include these race-style with two -12 AN ports and two oil cap plugs, dry sump-style without AN ports, and wet sump-style with a -12 AN port and oil cap. Each of these versions are available with black or red LS3/LS7-style compact coil brackets. An optional billet oil fill cap is also available separately. Performance Design's Carbon HR/pTR Hybrid intake manifolds use their Carbon HR upper combined with the nylon lower from the pTR for reduced height in constrained applications. Short velocity stacks are provided to clear the plenum which results in a total runner length of 6.5 in. These unassembled kits are offered in several cylinder head port configurations and available with a black or red flange. Select the color in the model designed for your engine.
