Nitro Gear and Axle ring and pinion gear sets are manufactured from 8620 steel gear forgings, with a specialized process making them the toughest, quietest gears on- or off-road. By using better materials, better CNC precision-machining, and better lapping/heat-treating processes, they can ensure excellent contact patterns, plus a strong, long-lasting setup. Each new product is subjected to multi-point inspections and then actually installed and set up by Nitro's own in-house differential experts to assure excellent fitment and easy setup. Nitro Gear and Axle Excalibur Competition U-Joints

If you wheel hard or are involved in competition, Nitro Gear and Axle Excalibur Competition U-joints are must-haves. Constructed of a heavy-duty forged cross joint and hardened caps, these axle joints are greasable and include full circle retaining clips for positive engagement of the caps. Instead of conventional needle bearings, which can be crushed or break under extreme loads, Excalibur Competition joints feature a proprietary bushing material that can survive under extreme pressure. Because of their design, they are not recommended for highway speed and should only be used on applications that are equipped with locking hubs if the vehicle is driven on the street. Available for popular front axle shaft joints, the Excalibur joints replace conventional 297X and 760X Spicer joints, as well as larger 806X and 733X joints. If your method of four-wheeling is considered extreme, then Nitro Excalibur should be your U-joint choice! They are available individually or in pairs. Nitro Gear and Axle Direct-Fit Axle Shafts

Nitro Gear and Axle direct-fit axle shafts are offered in 1541H steel or 4340 alloy (chromium and molybdenum—aka, chromoly). Steel axles are heat-treated carbon steel with 41 percent or less impurities. They provide tensile strength of 181,000 psi, which equals up to a 35 percent increase in strength over stock. Chromoly axles are a lower carbon steel with a minimum 10 percent chromium and tensile strength of 228,000 psi. Both axles take more punishment to get you further down the trail—or off it entirely. Make your vehicle "Nitro Tough" with the Nitro Gear and Axle direct-fit axle shaft(s) designed for your specific application.
