Capable of withstanding the most extreme horsepower levels, these axles are star- flanged, gun-drilled, 40-spline units manufactured from premium-quality alloy steel, forged from Moser's own tooling, induction heat-treated for optimal torsional strength, and then 100 percent magnafluxed. Extreme axles feature a 1.705 in. shaft size and oversized bearing seats of 1.774 in. They can be splined for any manufacturer's spool and come with a standard 10-year limited warranty. Moser Engineering M9 fabricated rear axle housings fit 9 in. and 9 1/2 in. ring gear setups, and feature a one-piece triangulated housing to withstand the twisting forces of high-horsepower launches. These axle units are bare, so you can fabricate mounting points for your custom suspension setup. They come with a Moser Engineering logo fill plug, flush-mount drain plug, vent, and center section stud kit. Moser Engineering Wavetrac differentials use a patented design to improve grip in low-traction conditions. Precisely engineered converging/diverging wave profiles are placed on one side gear and its mating preload hub. As the two side gears rotate relative to one another, each wave surface climbs the other, causing them to move apart. This imparts an increased normal force through the side gears, increasing the bias ratio as a function of load. The increase occurs automatically only when conditions find it necessary, and it "reverts" back to its nominal bias ratio quickly and seamlessly, maintaining optimal drivability and performance at all times. Moser Engineering Wavetrac differentials are manufactured from the highest quality materials. With internal gears made from high-strength 9130 alloy steel, the bodies are machined from case-hardened billet steel.
