Max Papis Innovations DRG2 steering wheels are the evolution of the popular DRG model and represent the current pinnacle of the MPI DRAG line of wheels. New features have been born from feedback of several drag racers around the globe. The inner structure is engineered to deform under elevated impacts, safely absorbing the load and reducing the effect on the driver's upper body. The new oval shaped grip structure makes holding the wheel a natural feel for the driver. The new inner foam injection was developed to have the highest vibration absorption rate in the industry. Three sizes are offered (10, 12, and 13 in.), each with over 10 button locations, giving even the most demanding racers infinite adjustability. Each wheel features: 4 small 1/2 in. holes, 2 small 1/2 in. x 1 1/4 in. slots, and 5 large 5/8 in. x 2 in. slots. The selected suede covering provides a high-grip, natural feel, reducing the effort needed to hold the wheel while increasing driver feeling. The featured MPI Orange markers help both driver and crew chief have a visual reference of the steering wheel position. All models feature the standard drag racing 5-bolt pattern, while the MPI-DRG-10 also includes four pilot holes for mini drag. Each wheel is individually serial numbered for traceability.

For all Autodromo 70 Series steering wheel models, MPI sought the classic and period correct look present in every detail. To truly capture the authentic vintage spoke style, MPI went as far as using an old-style milling cutter. It is with this they were able to create the iconic period correct holes and the frontal radius synonymous with the era. Next, MPI researched the most beautiful top grain leather available and utilized a minimal texture grain unique for this particular steering wheel model. The feel is second to none and covers a classic round grip with back finger grooves to enhance comfort and performance. All of the stitching in the '70 Series edition is entirely handcrafted by MPI expert technicians, replicating the period correct techniques of using a larger than standard thread. It's a subtle difference drivers will surely feel passing through their fingers. Each Autodromo 70 Series steering wheel comes with a custom made flush horn-button to match each available spoke finishing option. Each steering wheel is shipped with a set of 6-button head screws to cap off the vintage look. The classic looking Autodromo logo is manually silkscreened, while the 'MPI' logo is discreetly milled in each spoke as an individually engraved serial number to make each wheel truly 'one of a kind'. In addition, all Autodromo products have an MPI Vera Pelle added tag for authenticity and comes in MPI's vintage-style designed craft box.
