Keyser Manufacturing carbon fiber driveshafts weigh less than aluminum or steel shafts; but that's only one of their advantages. The lower torsional spring rate of carbon fiber driveshafts reduces driveline shock and the stress on drivetrain components. Unlike metal shafts, carbon fiber cannot become permanently twisted, putting the shaft ends out of phase and causing excessive vibration.
