Vintage-styled, yet modern, Johnson's Hot Rod Shop rear ladder bars evolve the age-old design of rear radius rods to perfection. Their ladder bars firmly locate the rear-end housing of your hot rod while achieving a smoother ride and better traction under hard acceleration. The bars have been engineered for use on either a transverse Model A buggy spring, or a coilover rear suspension. Johnson's ladder bars are manufactured from T6061 aluminum with a machined or show-quality polished finish. They measure 42.75 in. center-to-center and are sold as a pair complete with hardware, weld-on rear end housing brackets, and a weld-on ladder bar crossmember for center K-members. A variety of distinctive styles are available, along with matching front radius rods (sold separately). Johnson's rear ladder bars deliver superior strength and clean lines for your hot rod.

Johnson's Hot Rod Shop Kinmont Safety Stop brakes combine the vintage look of the original Kinmont design with the stopping power of modern disc brakes. They also include internal features that make them easy to bleed and maintenance-free. Designed around the venerable 1937-48 Ford spindle, they use a 10.5 in. vented rotor with a 4-piston caliper. The aluminum caliper is equipped with proper internal dust caps and seals, and stainless steel pistons. The design allows for easy assembly and access to the bleed valves. The drum cover and backing plate are precision cast and available in natural-cast or polished finishes. The billet aluminum hubs are offered in three patterns to fit most wheel configurations. There are other Kinmont replica brakes out there, but JHRS Kinmont Safety Stop brakes have what it takes to last and to look great for many years.

Johnson's Hot Rod Shop offers drum brake kits for a variety of applications. These rear brake kits are designed to work with a 9 in. Ford rear-end axle running the new style Torino big bearing flange with a 2.5 in. brake space. They utilize a 10 in. drum brake assembly with 2 in. brake shoes. The look of the original Kinmont Safe Stop brakes is prized by hot rodders everywhere. What's often forgotten is that they're terrible at stopping a car. Nevertheless, these drum brake kits from Johnson's take their styling cues from the classic Kinmonts with scoops in the drums and arched fins lining the perimeter of the backing plates (available in a natural cast or show polished finish). Equip your ride with the style and performance of a Johnson's Hot Rod Shop drum brake kit. Additional details: * Brass nuts and wave washers mimic the adjustment points on the originals * Drum cover and backing plate are precision sand cast * Available in 5x4.5 bolt circle application
