Improved Racing Oil Cooler Thermostats

Improved Racing oil cooler thermostats fit your cooling system with a compact, patent-pending design and function that are crucial to engine performance. These Flow Series Motorsport (FSM) oil thermostats ensure a low-pressure drop by placing the bypass valve mechanism completely out of the primary oil flow, while performing the critical function of bypassing the oil cooler until the oil has reached its minimum operating temperature. This removes the danger of over-cooling the oil and delaying engine warm-up, resulting in horsepower loss, excessive engine wear, and reduced gas mileage. These high-flow thermostats are crafted from aluminum, and then anodized for added durability and looks. Improved Racing Automatic Transmission Cooler Adapter with Thermostat

Improved Racing created the first bolt-on automatic transmission fluid adapter with a thermostat for GM's 6L, 8L, and 10L automatic transmissions. Each adapter's built-in thermostat automatically bypasses the transmission cooler until the fluid reaches operating temperature. The thermostat reduces rough shifts caused by overcooled transmission fluid, reduces wear, and improves efficiency and horsepower. Your transmission can now reach operating temps quickly while retaining the cooling capacity needed for high load activities such as towing or racing. It's the best of both worlds! Adapter model TGM-100-T2 features SAE female -6 AN O-ring boss ports that accept adapter fittings for 5/16, 3/8, 1/2 in. hose barbs or male AN fittings. This allows you to run common rubber transmission cooler lines or braided AN lines. Hard tube adapters may also be used to connect the factory lines directly to the adapter (may require minor bending or adjustment of factory lines). Important application notes: * The adapter can only be used in conjunction with external transmission fluid coolers. * The adapter does not directly connect to the factory hard lines. Aftermarket lines or hard tube adapter fittings must be used. * The adapter will only help resolve rough shifting issues if they are caused by overcooling of the transmission, usually due to the addition of a larger aftermarket transmission cooler. Note that 8L45 and 8L90 transmissions rough shifting issues can often be resolved through GM TSB 18-NA-355 and by simply flushing the transmission fluid. Improved Racing LS Oil Cooler Block-Off Cover Plates

Improved Racing's LS oil cooler block-off/bypass cover plates install over the oil cooler ports found on most LS-Series oil pans, and can be used to delete the oil cooler circuit. Available with or without sensor/turbo feed ports, the bypass covers are CNC-machined from billet 6061 T-6 aluminum and then Type II anodized in black and laser marked. They feature a large ported internal cavity with smooth features to improve flow characteristics when compared to the factory diecast bypass cover. Improved Racing LS oil cooler block-off plate with sensor/turbo feed ports features 2 x 1/8 in. NPT ports and includes a single 1/8 in. NPT plug in case both ports are not used. The ports are located on the top and bottom of the block-off plate. Select the block-off cover needed for your LS engine. Improved Racing Factory Oil Cooler Delete Kits

Improved Racing factory oil cooler delete kits remove the factory water-to-oil 'heater' so your vehicle can run with a more efficient air-to-oil cooling system. These kits come with everything needed to cap-off the radiator hose barb and water pump fittings from the factory setup. An oil cooler adapter (sold separately) is necessary to replace the factory water-to-oil cooler and allow for connecting an air-to-oil cooler.
