These user-adjustable multi-rate leaf packs feature tip inserts and leaf separators that lessen friction, reduce noise, and increase ride comfort, while military-wrapped eyelets improve the durability and strength of the leaf spring. To increase the ride quality of your truck and gain additional droop travel, the spring rate has been lowered slightly—and this is where the add-in-leaf works. For those who have outfitted their trucks with significant weighty additions, the additional leaf can be exchanged or added to the pack yielding an additional 10 percent or 40 percent spring rate (depending on kit). OE leaf springs can have limiting factors … especially with fully loaded rigs with racks, rooftop tents, and the like. The strength limitations of the Ford Bronco's factory steering tie rods has been well documented, especially by Bronco owners who venture into the big rocks with big tires. These ICON XD Forged steering tie rod kits remedy this with better materials and beefier dimensions than the stock units. The inner tie rod and ball stud is CNC-machined from 4140 chromoly. The adjustment threads, where most failures occur on stock tie rods, are 18mm on the XD Forged tie rods versus 14mm on stock Bronco tie rods. The outer tie rod is forged steel and has the same bend as the stock tie rods for fitting all of the Bronco's factory wheel diameters and offsets—along with just about any aftermarket wheel. The tie rod end is a beefier, metal-on-metal joint that's greaseable for extended service life and has the same range of operating angle as the stock tie rod ends. For the most hardcore off-roaders, the ICON Vehicle Dynamics XD Forged tie rod kit (45212) is recommended as part of a comprehensive steering system upgrade strategy. The factory crash bars are standard equipment on all non-Sasquatch equipped Broncos. To take full advantage of 35 in. or larger tires the crash bars must be removed, if present. ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2.5 EXP coilover shocks are an ideal front and/or rear suspension option for 2021-23 Ford Bronco models. They combine the performance of a fully rebuildable 2.5 in. diameter premium shock absorber with the convenience and cost-benefits of re-using the Bronco's factory coil spring and other components. EXP bridges the gap between spacer lifts and threaded bodied coilovers, providing suspension lift, custom-tuned performance and maximum travel, all in an economical package. EXP Series is based on ICON's proven 2.5 in. diameter Aluminum Series shock absorber, featuring a one-piece impact-extruded aluminum shock body. Hard anodizing provides a great-looking, consistent finish with superior resistance to abrasion and corrosion. The massive 7/8 in. diameter shaft is induction hardened and chrome plated. EXP shocks use the factory shaft-up orientation, with the shaft ends machined to re-use the Bronco's OE upper shock and spring mounts.
