Howards Cams Big Daddy Rattler camshafts are street performance cams designed to give a nice aggressive-sounding idle without sacrificing throttle response and horsepower gains. Big Daddy camshafts are top dog in the Rattler lineup, and as such they offer a rough idle, and are best used in Pro Street or street/strip applications. Compression needs to be at least 9.5:1, the torque converter needs to stall 2,800 rpm or higher, and a performance intake manifold, steeper gears, and free-flowing exhaust are required to take advantage of the camshaft's capabilities.

Howards Cams Street Force 3 hydraulic roller camshafts are available in 3-bolt or 1-bolt (for models without variable valve timing) configurations. They're designed for General Motors LS-series engines—intended for street and mild bracket racing applications, producing a rough, noticeable idle. Their specific grinds determine each cam's unique performance characteristics. What the specifications mean: * Hydraulic roller: This describes the type of lifter the camshaft is designed for. Hydraulic roller lifters use a wheel-like roller on the end that rides along the cam lobe.
