The most important product for proper flat tappet camshaft break-in is a high-quality lube. Howards Cams Max ZPM camshaft break-in lube virtually eliminates cam and lifter wear at initial break-in. It replaces the zinc phosphates removed from today's oils. Max ZPM offers the highest levels of zinc phosphates of all of the popular brands tested, plus it offers the addition of moly for extra protection. This break-in lube is compatible with all petroleum-based and synthetic oils.
