Hays Street 650 clutch conversion kits are designed to handle highly modified engines up to 650 hp naturally aspirated (600 hp for forced induction and nitrous combinations). The new 26-spline versions work in conjunction with a modern 5- or 6-speed transmission swap. These are true street/strip clutches for spirited high performance driving or frequent track use. The high performance dual-friction disc utilized in the Street 650 has an upgraded spring hub with heavy-duty damper springs to handle greater shock loads versus a standard damper spring. The disc features a sintered metallic friction surface and an organic friction surface. It does a great job at dissipating heat and fighting the slippage found in ordinary discs, along with providing the smooth engagement characteristics of a street-style clutch. These conversion kits also provide an upgraded heavy-duty pressure plate to round out the performance clutch. The Street 650 is a great choice if you visit the track often. Hays Street/Strip clutch kits are engineered and built as matched assemblies, using only top-quality new parts, to deliver maximum reliability and durability, as well as long-term dependability. They're available in both diaphragm and Borg & Beck styles, with sprung-hub clutch discs that have organic linings. Applications are available to fit a variety of cars and trucks aimed at street or street-and-strip use. These kits come complete with a pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing, and clutch-alignment tool (most kits). A pilot bushing is not included.
