Evolution Cyclone Premium Annular HSS M2AL cutters have been developed as an alternative to the more common M2, M35, and M42 cutters. These high-speed M2AL steel annular cutters offer many advantages over traditional cutter types. Tooth hardness is optimized and heat-treated to 68HRC to maximize cutter performance. M2AL cutters also include a tapered hardness from the shank, through the cutter body and to the cutter teeth. This makes the cutters more resistant to the torque created while cutting, thus preventing breakage. Cyclone Premium cutters are available in four depth sizes and a wide range of diameters. They're available individually or in sets of six or 12. Evolution pilot pins offer better economy, quality, and performance. The pilot pins are available in diameters and lengths for use in conjunction with an annular cutter. These super tough high-speed steel cutter pilot pins allow for more accurate positioning of the cutter. During the drilling process, the pilot pin retracts and allows internal coolant to reach the cutting teeth. The pilot pin then automatically ejects the core material slug from the center of the cutter after the drilling cycle is completed.
