They feature a tubular design with one hardened steel end and one bronze end for use on all aftermarket camshafts. Aluminum rods with brass tips are also available. Engine Works offers needle and seat replacements for a variety of Holley carburetors. They are the first stop for the flow of fuel coming into a carburetor—essentially, a basic valve. The seat is typically conical and the needle has a point which seals against the seat to stop fuel from entering the carb at a certain level. This prevents flooding the engine and engine compartment. Needles are available in brass or stainless steel; and seat size options vary from 0.110 in. to 0.150 in.
