The function is the same as the Deluxe kit, but these standard kits utilize a simple chrome brass deck mount for the hose connection. They will shut off the water flow to your water pickup or sterndrive, when installed in your main water line, allowing the engines to be flushed with fresh water from the externally mounted hose connection. With the valve opened, your sterndrive can also be "back flushed".
