Carbon deposits form on intake valves and other engine components via the oil mist of blow-by gases from the PCV system. On gasoline direct-injection engines this problem is compounded as there is no fuel to wash the oil mist off the back of the valves. The kits minimize the formation of carbon deposits, reduce the frequency of service intervals, and decrease maintenance costs, saving you money and ensuring proper engine performance. The aluminum catch can features an internal baffle and a 50-micron filter that works in sequence separating and capturing oil mist from blow-by gases before the mist enters the intake tract. Oil collected in the catch can is easy to drain through an integrated drain plug or by removing the lower half of the can. This is a complete kit that contains everything required for a hassle-free installation, including 4 ft. of hose, clamps, hardware, and two versatile brackets (one flat and one 90 degree) for convenient placement on a wide range of cars and light-duty trucks.
