One of the key fuel injection components of the 7.3L and 6.0L engines is the BD Diesel High-Pressure Oil Pump (HPOP). They're also a common replacement part when dealing with low oil pressure problems—which can result in poor fuel atomization, loss of power, excessive smoke levels and/or loss of economy. BD Diesel differential covers are cast to cool. Specially engineered, the powdercoated aluminum covers are designed with internal and external cooling fins, plus an extra-capacity bottom sump. This strategy allows gears to pick up and deflect oil back onto the ring gear and into the pinion gear for cooler, longer life. BD Diesel differential covers are gasket-less, and each includes a reusable Viton® O-ring, stainless steel Allen head cap bolts, fill plug, and magnetic drain plug for a complete, easy, and "cool" installation.
