APR A02 flow-formed Anthracite wheels pay homage to several classic wheels in a unique design that is sure to turn heads. Central to the wheel is a classic 5-spoke pattern that has been hollowed out for weight savings and interlaced inside of a 5-spoke "Y" pattern that pays respect to the APR A01 wheels. The meshing together of these two iconic designs creates a snowflake pattern from decades past. APR A02s are flow-formed from A356 aluminum making them strong and lightweight, yet cost dramatically less than forged wheels. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was used to reduce spoke width to reduce weight while providing the strength necessary to achieve a 720 KG load rating. Weight-saving pockets are cut behind the wheel face to reduce weight, too. Strong billet aluminum CNC-machined rings allow the wheels to be compatible with both common center bores, and won't wobble, crack, or crumble like other materials. The center caps are removable, upgradeable, and compatible with various OEM center caps. APR braided stainless steel brake line upgrades are a direct-fit replacement that improves your braking experience with the best lines on the market today. Forget the factory rubber hoses that expand and can even rupture over time. These braided 304 stainless steel lines with a smooth-bore PTFE core allow for very little expansion. This gives you a firmer brake pedal with less required pedal travel, as the fluid gets to its destination faster without all the flex and expansion that happens with lower quality lines. Unlike many universal lines on the market that often use connector adapters, APR brake lines are application-specific with the correct length and hose fittings, eliminating potential leak points. The lines have an attractive PVC outer jacket in smoked clear so you can see the braided lines from within, with red anodized inserts, and Cr3+ steel connectors. Each brake line is fully tested to 3,000 psi prior to sale, which is far beyond typical operating pressures. The lines are independently certified as SAE "low-expansion" lines and average only 0.07 cc/ft at 1,000 psi and 0.11 cc/ft at 2,900 psi. The individual systems are a universal setup that requires an end user supplied mounting system. APR turbo outlet pipes replace the factory plastic pipe with a high-quality aluminum pipe that is a constant diameter within. APR pays close attention to the airflow paths and provide as few bends and tight radius turns as possible to maximize performance. Unlike the factory plastic pipes, APR's won't melt and crack under extreme conditions. This direct replacement piece additionally deletes the turbo muffler, which is integrated into the pipe on the Golf R/S3 and similar platform vehicles. The pipe features bead rolled connection points to resist hose slippage, and all mounting brackets are TIG-welded to the pipe for a strong connection. APR offers MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensors as quality OEM replacements for your vehicle's factory original. As part of the fuel and engine management system, these MAP sensors measure the intake manifold pressure. The signal from these sensor components is used by the engine control module, along with the throttle position sensor to calculate the amount of air entering the engine so that the correct amount of fuel is injected for optimum combustion.
