Stock rear-ends are typically built with a non-floating design--and because your wheels are bolted to the axle, if the C-clip fastener or axle happens to break, you could lose a wheel. By contrast, Allstar Performance 9 in. floater housing kits are a safer and more versatile replacement option. These steel stock housings are available in a variety of widths, centered or offset. They're jig-welded for proper alignment and feature a differential center section and wall axle tubes with spindle pins, plus gear case mounting studs and fill and drain plugs. (Depending on the kit you order, additional components may be included.)
