Whether you're replacing a worn shaft coupler or building a custom steering setup on your street rod or race car, AFCO Racing has you covered with their steering shaft couplers. A steering shaft coupler's primary purpose is to connect the steering column to the steering gearbox, allowing the steering wheel to rotate smoothly by accommodating slight misalignments between the two shafts while transmitting the turning motion from the wheel to the steering system; essentially acting as a flexible joint that prevents binding and ensures smooth steering operation even when the steering column is slightly angled or moved due to driver adjustments. Order a universal fit coupler from the Pros at AFCO Racing for your steering application needs.

AFCO Racing offers metric steering arms for a variety of applications, including many Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac cars and trucks from the 1970s and '80s. The 3-piece GM metric spindles are a re-creation of OEM spec spindles in a newly forged, heat-treated steel design that's both stronger and lighter than the original. Their unique 3-piece construction provides for fast, convenient and affordable replacement of individual components in the event of a crash. These spindles are IMCA, USMTS, and USRA approved and work great with AFCO's 1979-Up GM metric front brake rotors, bearings, calipers, etc. The "Short Arm Pinto Style" spindle is an adaptation of the above 3-piece metric spindle. It fits the '79–Up metric hub, calipers and the extended 20038-1 (K6117) lower ball joint. The upper ball joint boss is reamed to 7 degrees to accept the popular 20034 (K772) screw-in ball joint. The steering arm is Pinto length and lowered to help correct bump steer. These replacement steering arms are available separately for the left and right side of your vehicle.

While extruded tubing looks similar, it is not as strong or durable, and prone to failure, while drawn parts keep performing. Drawn material offers the same strength as hex but without the additional weight. AFCO swaged aluminum tubes are threaded, left hand on one side and right hand on the other. The tubes are offered in a variety of lengths to suit your needs.
