1:18 Scale 1970 Hurst Oldsmobile Cutlass SX Diecast Model

The SX was designed to appeal to musclecar enthusiasts while avoiding high insurance premiums. The '70 Olds Cutlass SX was a high-performance option package for the Cutlass Supreme and was available in 1970 and 1971. This 1:18 scale 1970 Hurst Oldsmobile Cutlass SX diecast model is sure to delight fans with its many amenities which include a fully detailed interior, opening doors, trunk, and hood, fully poseable steering, highly detailed 455 engine, detailed undercarriage, folding front seats and more. Here's a bit of fun automotive history related to the Legendary '70 Hurst/Olds Cutlass: Going into the 1970s, U.S. automakers were faced with a dilemma: how to keep muscle car demand up in the wake of skyrocketing insurance premiums. One was to develop small-displacement cars like the Duster 340 and the Heavy Chevy. The other was to offer bigger engines in a mid-size body style whose VIN didn't give anything away to your insurance agent. This legendary car was born when George Hurst fell in love with the Cutlass Supreme body style for 1970. He tasked John Beltz and Jim Wangers to build him an Olds super car in Black and Gold. It was equipped with a 455 power plant and Hurst's signature dual-gate shifter. Sadly, Oldsmobile declined the opportunity to work with Hurst to produce this car, so the Black and Gold '70 Hurst/Olds remains a unique one of one.

1:18 Scale 1966 Ford GT40 MKII F85 Diecast Model

Back in 1962, Henry Ford II was frustrated that The Ford Motor Company's reputation for high performance engineering was suffering. To win at Le Mans Ford needed a mid-engine, 200-plus-mph race car that could average more than 120 mph over a 24-hour period. In '63, Ford had nothing even in the design stage with that sort of performance potential. Henry II really wanted to win Le Mans and best Ferrari in the process, so he developed a hand-picked team of international automotive engineers and race car drivers to form a new Ford subsidiary in Slough, England, named Ford Advanced Vehicles Ltd. John Wyer, ex-Aston Martin team manager, directed the team, which included Broadley, Ford engineer Roy Lunn, New Zealand drivers Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, as well as American racer Ken Miles. An unsuccessful Le Mans campaign in 1964 (mainly due to failures with the Colotti transaxle) saw Ford HQ in the USA hand the project over to Carroll Shelby, although FAV still played an important role. The improved GT40 MkII appeared to have the right combination of power and reliability, as proven by wins in the 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring in 1966. That gave Ford great confidence of finally being able to break Ferrari's winning streak at Le Mans, which stood at six coming into the 1966 event. Celebrate that legendary race car with this 1:18 scale 1966 Ford GT40 MKII F85 diecast model. Features include opening doors, trunk, and hood; poseable steering; detailed interior; plumbed and wired engine; and a stylish display platform. 1:18 Scale 1966 Pontiac GTO Restomod Diecast Model

By any calculation, 1966 was a momentous year for the GTO. The original muscle car had come into its own in persona and popularity. It even became a separate series featuring the hardtop, pillared sports coupe, and convertible. The GTO's all-new body incorporated Coke-bottle side styling and a recessed backlight, with sail panels that provided a semi-fastback appearance. Graduating from the tough, boxy street brawler look of 1965, the '66 was refined with integrated shapes. Its front bumper became an integral part of the nose, closely following the curves of the newly sculpted split grilles and headlamp bezels. Parking lamps were set into the grilles à la the 1963 and 1964 Grand Prixes, and the grilles were blacked out--a muscle car styling cue that Pontiac initiated on the GTO in 1964 and would be used by much of its competition going forward. This 1:18 scale 1966 Pontiac GTO Restomod diecast model includes a killer custom paint job, black Street Fighter wheels and tires, plumbed and wired engine, folding front seats, fully detailed chassis, poseable steering, and opening doors, trunk, and hood. This is something you do not miss adding to your muscle car collection!

1:18 Scale Vic Edelbrock 1932 Ford Salt Flat Roadster #3 Diecast Model

The Edelbrock '32 roadster is one of the most recognized cars in all of hot rodding! Vic Edelbrock, Jr. was an American automotive aftermarket performance parts engineer, racer and is considered one of the founders of the American hot rod movement. He had an impact on hot rodding unlike anyone else. His inventiveness, ability to create extraordinary performance from ordinary engines and ingenuity and dedication to engine building earned him a legacy that will last forever. In 1938, Vic Sr. bought a '32 Ford and used it to test new speed parts, more or less inventing "the project car." The first big seller from an Edelbrock project car was the Slingshot manifold. Vic became a consistent winner with his modified roadster at racing speeds of 112 mph. He would drive the Ford to the dry lakes, remove the fenders and the windshield, and then race the car. At the end of the races, he would re-install the fenders and the windshield and drive it home. This 1:18 scale Vic Edelbrock 1932 Ford Salt Flat Roadster #3 diecast model celebrates the birth of hot rods. Only 750 of the Limited Edition replicas were made. Add the legendary race car to your collection.
