1:18 Scale 1933 Gasser Nitro Methane Acme Diecast Model

The "Nitro Methane" '33 Willys started life in Southern California and is a product of Dave Giordano. After making its way to Australia with an original chassis, the car had passed hands as a project a number of times, resulting in some crude workmanship—and signs of the body being stored and transported had taken its toll. Fortunately, the car ended up in the hands of Shaun Pask, who has resurrected many hot rods, drag cars, and street machines. After many exhausting hours of hard work, the Nitro Methane Gasser was turned into an awesome showpiece of Gasser history. This 1:18 scale Acme diecast model commemorates the legendary 1933 Gasser. The Limited Edition collectable features opening doors and trunk; removable front cowl; poseable steering; plumbed and wired engine; detailed undercarriage; and serialized plate.

1:18 Scale 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 Red Alert Drag Car Diecast Model

For most of its 40 years, the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 LS6 has been doing exactly what it was built to do: tear up the drag strip. Along the way, it's become arguably the most famous drag racing Chevelle ever, capturing the SS/DA class record in 1972 and setting an elapsed time of 10:75 at 123 mph on the way to winning Top Eliminator 14 of 16 events at Bradenton Dragway in Florida in 1976. Purchased new by A/FX racer Bob Hamilton as a Valentine's Day gift to his wife, the big-block beast was soon spending its Sundays at the local drag strip with Hamilton at the wheel. Sponsored by AMT and dubbed "Red Alert," it began its long and extremely successful career in 1971, setting the SS/DA national record during the 1972 season and owning the track record at New Jersey's Island Dragway for over two years. Hamilton sold "Red Alert" in 1976 to racer Terry Carney who, in 1990, partnered with Bill and Jan Stephenson to reintroduce the car to a new generation of fans and a new career in popular nostalgia drag racing. The car has since run the quarter mile in the low tens at over 130 mph. A true drag racing legend in every sense, the "Red Alert" Chevelle has always been expertly maintained and remains in splendid condition. It is almost entirely as Hamilton raced it, retaining its original sheet metal and interior and most of its original Cranberry Red paint. This replica 1:18 scale 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 Red Alert drag car diecast model features opening doors, hood, and trunk; poseable steering; detailed interior; tilting front seats; 454 wired and plumbed engine; drag wheels and tires; diecast metal body; fully detailed chassis; and serialized license plate. 1:18 Scale 1932 Ford Truck So-Cal Speed Shop Diecast Model

This 1:18 scale 1932 Ford truck diecast model is an homage to the legendary So-Cal Speed Shop. Unlike many tales, the story of the So-Cal Speed Shop is not one made up by some clever marketing types; it's a true story of friendship, hot rods and the need for speed. The story begins on March 22, 1922 in Los Angeles with the birth of Alex Xydias. Although his father was a prominent producer of silent movies, Alex's childhood was fairly normal, and like most young boys, he naturally gravitated toward automobiles. His first hot rod, a '29 Ford roadster with a milled head and a chopped flywheel, which he drove to Fairfax High School, was paid for with part-time earnings. However, his life, like that of so many young men, was about to change when, in 1942, he joined the Army Air Corps, serving as a B-17 engineer. On the day of his discharge—March 3, 1946—using some borrowed money, Alex opened the first So-Cal Speed Shop on Olive Avenue in Burbank. Over the following decades, So-Cal Speed Shop would build some of the most iconic hot rods for many of the most notable collectors on the planet. Their innovation and attention to detail set the bar in the hot rod industry. So, without further ado, ACME is pleased to announce this So-Cal Speed Shop 1932 Ford Hot Rod Pickup in honor of all the accomplishments that Alex and the So-Cal team has achieved! Features include opening doors and hood, opening tailgate, poseable steering, detailed Chevy engine, fully detailed interior, detailed chassis, diecast metal body, and serialized plate. This Limited Edition collectible is one of only 400 pieces produced.

1:18 Scale 1970 Hurst Oldsmobile Cutlass SX Diecast Model

The SX was designed to appeal to musclecar enthusiasts while avoiding high insurance premiums. The '70 Olds Cutlass SX was a high-performance option package for the Cutlass Supreme and was available in 1970 and 1971. This 1:18 scale 1970 Hurst Oldsmobile Cutlass SX diecast model is sure to delight fans with its many amenities which include a fully detailed interior, opening doors, trunk, and hood, fully poseable steering, highly detailed 455 engine, detailed undercarriage, folding front seats and more. Here's a bit of fun automotive history related to the Legendary '70 Hurst/Olds Cutlass: Going into the 1970s, U.S. automakers were faced with a dilemma: how to keep muscle car demand up in the wake of skyrocketing insurance premiums. One was to develop small-displacement cars like the Duster 340 and the Heavy Chevy. The other was to offer bigger engines in a mid-size body style whose VIN didn't give anything away to your insurance agent. This legendary car was born when George Hurst fell in love with the Cutlass Supreme body style for 1970. He tasked John Beltz and Jim Wangers to build him an Olds super car in Black and Gold. It was equipped with a 455 power plant and Hurst's signature dual-gate shifter. Sadly, Oldsmobile declined the opportunity to work with Hurst to produce this car, so the Black and Gold '70 Hurst/Olds remains a unique one of one.

1:18 Scale 1966 Ford GT40 MKII F85 Diecast Model

Back in 1962, Henry Ford II was frustrated that The Ford Motor Company's reputation for high performance engineering was suffering. To win at Le Mans Ford needed a mid-engine, 200-plus-mph race car that could average more than 120 mph over a 24-hour period. In '63, Ford had nothing even in the design stage with that sort of performance potential. Henry II really wanted to win Le Mans and best Ferrari in the process, so he developed a hand-picked team of international automotive engineers and race car drivers to form a new Ford subsidiary in Slough, England, named Ford Advanced Vehicles Ltd. John Wyer, ex-Aston Martin team manager, directed the team, which included Broadley, Ford engineer Roy Lunn, New Zealand drivers Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, as well as American racer Ken Miles. An unsuccessful Le Mans campaign in 1964 (mainly due to failures with the Colotti transaxle) saw Ford HQ in the USA hand the project over to Carroll Shelby, although FAV still played an important role. The improved GT40 MkII appeared to have the right combination of power and reliability, as proven by wins in the 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring in 1966. That gave Ford great confidence of finally being able to break Ferrari's winning streak at Le Mans, which stood at six coming into the 1966 event. Celebrate that legendary race car with this 1:18 scale 1966 Ford GT40 MKII F85 diecast model. Features include opening doors, trunk, and hood; poseable steering; detailed interior; plumbed and wired engine; and a stylish display platform.
