Questions & Answers Ask a Product Question

will this intake fit under a stock hood 1968 Mustang? (351w, Holley Sniper EFI) If not how would it be possible?

Asked by RYAN on October 16, 2018

Thank you for your question. The carburetor flange height of the TFS-52400114 - Trick Flow® R-Series Carbureted Intake Manifold is 6.429 in. (Measured from bottom of manifold at the end rail, to the top of the carburetor mounting pad)

You will need to take some measurements to verify whether or not you will have any interference issues. Here are the dimensions you will need to know:

1. Distance from the end rail of the block to the hood.
2. Carburetor flange height of intake manifold (From end rail of manifold to carb flange).
3. Carburetor height (Baseplate to air cleaner flange).
4. Installed height of the air cleaner as installed on the carburetor

The vast majority of air cleaners are of the "drop base" construction, meaning the air cleaner
assembly sits lower than the air cleaner flange of the carburetor, so you need to take that into account when determining air cleaner installed height.

Hi just wondering whether this intake manifold will fit a set of dart iron eagle heads on my 351 Windsor

Asked by PHILL on August 10, 2018

Thank you for your question. Trick Flow 52400114 R-Series intake manifold will fit Dart Iron Eagle heads for small Fords. Please be aware that the out of the box intake port dimensions on this manifold measure 2.10 in. x 1.28 in. and can be opened up as large as 2.25 in. x 1.40 in. The 180cc and 200cc versions of the Iron Eagle heads have smaller intake ports than the manifold, whereas the 215cc versions ports are almost the same size.

Answer This Question

Does this intake have a vaccum port on the back

Asked by CHRIS on March 12, 2018

No, there's no vacuum provision anywhere . I got a one inch thick spacer & had it drilled & tapped for 3/8 fpt in the front & back. Then used what I needed !!
