Q:

Can this be used to keep the rear brakes engaged on a fwd vehicle?

Asked by JASON on July 16, 2017

A:

I don't see why not as long as you can get to that line should work .

Answer This Question

Q:

Can the staging lock be used as a distribution block, so I can plumb one line in and two out for the calipers?

Asked by AUSTIN on November 07, 2018

A:

Thank you for your question. The Summit 760000 stage lock system would not work for a distribution block.

Lasted for 1 track day...

SUM-760000
I purchased this item hoping it was the same name brand unit that looks identical to this one, but re-branded for Summit like many other products are. Unfortunately that is not the case for this roll control unit. Mine lasted for 1 track day (apx 6 burn outs) and now it is just added weight. The solenoid will engage, but it will not hold any line pressure at all. I am 2 months out of the warranty period since I purchased this early on in the project and it was over a year before the car was race ready. Save yourself some money and by another brand first so you don't have to buy it later. ...read more

Best Line Lock I have used!

THIS IS A PROVEN PRODUCT. NEVER HAD AN ISSUE. I LOVE THE LOOK AND I LOVE THE DESIGN. READ WHERE OTHERS SAID IT ONLY WORKED ONCE THEN STOPPED. NOT POSSIBLE. THEY JUST WORK. THE KEY IS TO MAKE SURE THE FLUID IS NOT CONTAMINATED WHEN YOU DO THE INSTALL AND THEN BLEED THE BRAKE LINES - COMPLETELY. I HAVE USED THE SUMMIT BRAND 2-PORT AND 4-PORT FOR 8 YEARS ON ALL THE CARS WE BUILD (AT LEAST 50 OF THESE) AND I AM SOLD ON THEM FOR LIFE. YOU CANT BEAT THE PRICE, QUALITY OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. LINE LOCKS BY NATURE ARE NOT EASE TO INSTALL - SO I SAY THATS AVERAGE. NOT A DIG ON SUMMIT, JUST A COMMENT ON WHAT IT TAKES TO INSTALL ANYTHING INTO THE BRAKE LINES ...read more

Not so much

I bought (and installed- then REMOVED) 2 of these. Looks great. First one would 'click' at solenoid, but NO line pressure. Second didn't sound like the solenoid was as "positive," also didn't hold the front wheels. Went with the name-brand unit and installed it THE SAME WAY -works great! Tried to save money, spent more on aggravation and brake fluid and STILL bought the original manufacturer's device. ...read more
