Questions & Answers Ask a Product Question

I was curious on if this cam would work with an 1989 460 efi? Would it match with the distributor gear?

Asked by JUSTIN on July 25, 2017

Thank you for your question. The Summit Racing 3501 camshaft will not work with the stock speed density EFI. We offer a Comp Cams 34-255-5 that will work with the stock computer, and factory distributor gear. Please copy and paste the link below into your web browser to view it on our website.

what valve springs would be best for the summit cam 3501 for a ford 460. the lift is .471/.471

Asked by TYLER on March 05, 2016

Thank you for your question. If you go to the "Suggested Parts" tab, Select "Engine & Components" under "Department", then select "Valve Springs" under "Part Type", you will see a list of valve springs that are recommended for this camshaft. You will need to know the diameter of the spring seats in the cylinder head to make sure the springs you select will fit.
