With this there would be a return to the tank from this regulator, and a return from the fuel rail?

Asked by TRAVIS on May 16, 2019

Thank you for your question. The Summit 2301510 LS fuel filter regulator is designed to return fuel before the fuel rail and run a single, non returned line, to the fuel rail.

This was recommended by Summit to use for the MAX-EFI 500 Fuel Injection System SUM-240505. I have this system and need to plumb the fuel delivery. So since this has the return built in, then do I just do the fuel to feed the EFI system, the single line, then the return line to the tank goes into the built in return of the regulator/filter and that goes to the tank?

How do I use this for a system that doesn't have that type of fuel line coming from the tank? That specific push in fuel connector. Is there an adaptor?

Also, can I just put regular EFI rubber hoses on those connectors that feed the EFI module and return??

The EFI system is going on a 67 F100.

You can use 3/8" fuel injection rated hose between the fuel tank and the inlet of the regulator/filter if it isn't located very far from the tank. You must use a 5/16" fuel hose or line from the regulator/filter back to the tank. If your fuel rail has a return line, it should also be routed back to the fuel tank. The outlet fitting required for this regulator is a standard 3/8" fuel rail fitting. An example is summit part # 221330B. There are several different fittings available that connect to tubing or hose.
