Q:

I have a '64 International 4.3l(266) v8 with a 2 barrel Holley 2300 carb. Does this EFI system require a return line to the fuel tanks and does it need a stand alone fuel pump? Or can the mechanical fuel pump generate enough pressure?

A:

The master kit comes with the necessary electrical fuel pump that will provide the 60 psi for operation. The mechanical wont produce enough PSI. A return line is needed. Both supply and return lines/clamps should be EFI rated.

Thank you for your question. The Holley Sniper 550-849K fuel injection system is currently not USCG-approved for use on a marine application. Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer an option to fit your boat.

Huge improvement

SNE-550-849K
Put this on my 1982 Ford Bronco with a 351w. It has improved the way it drives and helped performance and fuel economy. Follow the instructions word for word and it'll work great. Most people who don't like it usually install something wrong. Don't let the negative reviews discourage you. Holley customer service is great!

Lemme start by saying this carburetor is cool it’s the fuel pump that sucks or the lack of suck. I have ran the lines as per Holley specks. Pump is directly below my tank. It will run great for a week and the blam no fuel pressure. I’m so sick of getting in thinking I’m out of the woods to be thrown back in the thick of it. I have walked more out of necessity than I should. I am stranded as I write this. I wish the techs would fly out to see what is happening. Just an update, it has now been over 3 weeks , been thru 4 Holley tech guys no one has been able to figure this out, one had me put in msd distributor, said that was problem. Still will not read rpms, truck was running on carb when I started this, hasn’t run since. I suggest if you go this route buy from someplace with reall good tech support.

wow review guidelines are tight here, gee i wonder why. i installed this system on a sandrail, didnt even make it out of the shop. upon initial startup, injector stuck wide open and filled engine with fuel. 3 weeks later, its still in the shop waiting....

Installed this on my 1977 FJ40 and it fired up first try! Instructions were pretty clear, everything worked great, Holley forums are a wealth of information (I had to over ride the fuel/temperature learning curve since my engine doesn't reach the "stock" 160F and the forums were really helpful). Would definitely buy again.
